Latin American Athletes Star in Latest Samsung Campaign “I’ll Be There”

Leo Burnett Tailor Made's energetic campaign features top athletes, plenty of tech devices and Jackson 5’s classic hit

In the latest campaign by Leo Burnett Tailor Made activated across Latin America, Samsung called on well-known athletes from the region who are symbols of perseverance, to share their relentless daily pursuit of sports. New campaign videos show how Samsung products help athletes and consumers overcome the most diverse challenges.

Samsung - I'll Be There - Olympics

Set to the tune of a new version of Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There” exclusively produced for the campaign, we get a peek into the daily lives of these athletes: Bia and Branca (synchronized swimming, Brazil), Sebastian Keitel (track and field, Chile), Diego Rosati (judo, Argentina), Claudia Rivero (badminton, Peru), Enrique Esqueda (soccer, Mexico), Irving Saladino (long jump, Panama) and Mabel Mosquera (weight lifting, Colombia). With the tagline “Samsung is with you, whatever your challenge,” we see how their trusty Samsung devices support them in their training and communication with loved ones.

“The products that star in the film, along with the athletes, were specially selected for their premium features and for really connecting people with what they love most,” said Roman Cepeda, marketing director for Samsung Latin America. “Samsung is proud of its history of supporting sports and this initiative unites us to one of Latin Americans’ passions.”

Leo Burnett Tailor Made will roll out five 15-second short films centered on selected Samsung products. Each one will highlight a feature similar to one of the athletes’ skills.

This integrated campaign will run throughout Latin America in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, the Caribbean, Uruguay and Venezuela.
