Introducing the Leo Q+A, where we chat with notables sprung from the halls of 35 West Wacker (and maybe even beyond..). Up first is the world-renowned Anne Beebe, perhaps best known around the Burnett elevator banks for her sharp wit (and even sharper pencils).

Describe your role in one word: Chaos.
If you weren’t in advertising, what would you be doing? Living in the country with a big, tall man, writing, and running an orphanage.
What’s on your to-do list this year? Get Rich upgraded on all upcoming flights.
What's the first thing you do in the morning when you arrive? I look to see what time it is in LA, Chicago, New York, London, Paris and Singapore. In that exact order, always. (If you're curious as to why...head to Anne's workspace on 21.)
Where do you do your best thinking? Anywhere but my cube. It's a fabulous little pen but I can't think in it.
Do you have a personal motto? Be nice.
What creative talent would you most like to have? I wish I could paint or draw.
If you could be a character in any commercial, who would it be? I’d like to be the lady that kicks off the song “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing” for Coke.
What’s your greatest advertising-related fear? That I’ll be featured on the cover of Adweek for my brilliant work.
What’s your current state of mind about the advertising industry? I think we need to push the “reset” button. And a few “eject” buttons as well.
What living creative person do you most admire? David Sedaris.
How would you like to end your career? By ingesting a vial of poison.
What do you consider your greatest creative achievement? I haven’t achieved it yet.
What’s your idea of advertising misery? Is there misery in advertising? Interesting. I’ve never experienced even a second of it.
What’s your idea of perfect advertising happiness? Great work, thankful clients, happy agency.
What advertising lingo do you most overuse? I don’t speak the lingo. I just can’t.
What’s your biggest advertising regret? I have a few advertising regrets for other people, but none for myself. At this point, anyway.
What trait do you value most of co-workers? Goodness.
What do you think most people misunderstand about the business? That it is, in fact, a business.
If you could change one thing about advertising, what would it be? I’d snuff out the egos.
What’s the quality you most like in a creative director? Selflessness.
What’s the quality you most like in an account executive? I like AEs to be ballsy.
And, finally, what’s your favorite ad/campaign ever? Too many to say but I love the Kaplan Thaler spot for the Anti-Defamation League. Despite reminding you of how hideously cruel humans have been to one another, it somehow gives you hope.
