Leo Burnett Madrid Wins Grand Prize at El Sol Festival
Last week at El Festival Iberoamericano de la Comunicación Publicitaria (El Sol), Leo Burnett Madrid won the Grand Prize in Film and Television for campaign “There is No Bigger Prize Than Sharing” for the Spanish National Lottery.
The agency took home 16 awards in total from Buenos Aires, Lapiz Chicago, Madrid and Tailor Made São Paulo offices, including one Grand Prize, three Gold Suns, two Silver Suns and 10 Bronze Suns.
El Sol was created in 1986 to recognize and boost creativity in Spanish advertising. In 2012, after being held in San Sebastian for 25 years, El Sol moved to Bilbao, where it was held again this year.
This year more than 2,500 pieces competed in El Sol and more than 1,500 people attended. 240 awards were given across 13 official categories. These were distributed among 83 agencies representing 13 countries.
