Following Change on Facebook: Profound Platform Evolution Edition
On September 22, we were fortunate enough to host a live stream of Facebook’s f8 Developers Conference at Leo Burnett Chicago. There was a great turnout from the agency as well as other industry professionals in the area.
Throughout the event, we heard new terms like Timeline, frictionless sharing, gestures and Open Graph, but the one word that stands out most to users and brands alike is change. Our clients are wondering, maybe fretting, about what this means for them.
The good news is, we think there will be tremendous opportunities for brands moving forward. But first, they need to digest what’s happening. This month’s edition of Following Change on Facebook is a one-pager that covers what is new, what it means for users/brands/communities, what we’re watching and what we think will happen next. Hope you enjoy the sixth edition of our series. Next month, we’ll bring to bear any early learnings and emerging best practices on the new Facebook platform.
Thanks to Marina Molenda, Jake Setlak, Garrett Ryan, Alina Cowden, Jeff Pfaller and Stephen Clark for their expert contributions.
