Globetrotting: August 2015
Each month, Globetrotting highlights pieces of work from around the Leo Burnet global network. Read more about this edition's selections, below.
Leo Burnett Melbourne
“Bonds 100th Anniversary”
Australia’s largest underwear brand Bonds is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, and to celebrate, Leo Burnett Melbourne created a spot that makes everyone — from 5-month-olds to 75-year-olds — want to dance. If you plan to celebrate with a dance in your skivvies, too, please re-create from the privacy of your home.
Leo Burnett India
No one wants to plan for cancer. But, in this spot by Leo Burnett India, life insurance company HDFC urges that it would be smart to do so. Former model and cancer survivor Lisa Ray tells viewers that being financially prepared is just as important as being emotionally prepared to fight the battle.
Leo Burnett India
In the spirit of lovin’, Leo Burnett India launched “Sharing” for McDonald’s to announce its combo meals for two. The spot tells the story of a young woman ready to eat, but with no place to sit — conjuring up viewers’ memories of those awkward cafeteria days. A young man, however, creatively turns his table for one into a table for two and makes a friend in the process.
Leo Burnett Chicago
“McDonald’s Buttermilk Crispy Chicken”
Southern-fried chicken is one of the biggest foodie trends of recent years, popping up in food trucks and four-star restaurants everywhere. In this spot for McDonald’s, food-truck devotees are in awe of the home-cooked taste of the restaurant’s latest sandwich offering.
Leo Burnett France
“Wild for Her” and “Wild for Him”
Scents drive attraction. In these two spots for Playboy Fragrances, Leo Burnett France tells the story of two lead characters who turn the once-invisible supporting cast — a server at a soirée and a celebrity’s bearded bodyguard— into the stars of the show with a spritz of the bottle.
