The campaign draws inspiration from the universal truth that, if given the choice, viewers will instinctively choose to skip an ad.
If you skip, a relentless Mayhem punishes you with horrid exploitations of the senses (not the least of which include nails on a chalkboard).
Every time you try to skip your way out of the cringe-worthy ad, you fall deeper into the depths of Mayhem. The only escape: clicking the “Watch Ad” button to view the entire spot, which offers its own dose of chaos.
Allstate’s infamous icon may not care about your sanity, but the company does. Like with all Mayhem spots, the video ends by assuring you that Allstate is your best protection.
