Leo Burnett Celebrates “Hands of a Craftsman” with the Reveal of Third Quarter Star Reachers

The agency recognizes outstanding talent for their commitment to craftsmanship & relentless pursuit of perfection.

Each quarter, Leo Burnett celebrates star individuals, chosen from peer nominations and leadership stamp of approval, who personify the agency’s core values – the four C’s that define Leo Burnett’s human-centered culture include Eyes of a Child, Heart of a Champion, Hands of a Craftsman, and Soul of a Citizen.   

To close the third quarter of 2022, we celebrate this year’s Hands of a Craftsman honorees, of whose embodiment of precision and pursuit of perfection have made a tremendous impact on their peers, work and the success of the agency as a whole. 

We’re excited to introduce our latest class of Star Reachers: 

Alia Kamal, Senior Account Executive 

Alia always goes above and beyond and out of her way, making what needs to happen while simultaneously embodying patience and world class empathy. Alia genuinely strives for what can be better in our daily working environment and the work itself. Simply, she makes it all run smoothly – truly a herculean task. 

Jennifer Wojtas, Director, Agency Technology Solutions 

Jennifer has worked in many departments since joining Leo Burnett 17 years ago and brought exemplary Hands of a Craftsman skills to every role she served in. She is meticulous in her work, ensuring all tasks are completed and all requirements fulfilled, when providing a solution for her team and its clients. Her attention to detail and desire to deliver excellence, along with her positive and collaborative approach is a tremendous benefit to the agency. 

Kate McClean, Account Director 

Kate McClean’s hands are always busy.  No job is too big or too small.  She is the engine that manages a $55 million business (Campbell’s Condensed) almost single-handedly.  This means multiple workstreams, multiple agencies, multiple personality styles, not to mention over 300 pieces of content. Kate is an unsung hero within the agency.

If there is one person who is always meticulously working on her craft, it’s Kayla.  She always delivers work with a smile and brings joy to every project, which is evident in her work and in the people around her. Kayla is a true craftsman of her trade in every way. She’s a delight to work with and truly displays the hands of a craftsman each and every day.

‘Craftsmanship’ is in Neill’s DNA. He works tirelessly to design boards, build flawless decks, and write perfectly thought-out notes that simplify the complicated. Most importantly, he is a master of the process. But more than that, he’s the kind of person that will build a ship, so that everyone on the team can experience the wonder of the stars. He not only has the Hands of a Craftsman. He has the Patience of a Saint. And the Will of a Warrior.

Sam has made a career out of seeing what others overlook. His sense for where to mine for insights is impeccable. He drills into consumer research to elevate the intel and insightfulness of the work to a new level. He has the rare ability to take science and translate it into art, quickly becoming invaluable to the team and highly valued by clients. He is truly a master of his craft, one who can make the complex simple, and the abstract actionable. He’s the definition of the craftsman.
