Renetta McCann Named 2023 AAF Advertising Hall of Fame Inductee and David Bell Award Honoree

Congratulations to Publicis Groupe’s Chief Inclusion Experience Officer and long-time champion of Leo Burnett for earning the industry’s highest distinction

Renetta McCann has been a distinguished pioneer in the field of advertising and marketing for more than four decades. She’s now earned the industry’s highest and most revered honor – induction into the American Advertising Federation’s Hall of Fame and recipient of the David Bell Award.

Renetta has been recognized as one of the leading innovators and most influential executives in advertising, marketing and media industries with a reputation for driving inclusion at all levels with an emphasis on the strategic advantages of diverse teams. Her work has been recognized in the press, being named the 2022 Corporate Executive of the Year by Black Enterprise Magazine, Ad Woman of the Year by the Chicago Advertising Federation and one of the 50 Women Who Are Changing the World by Essence.

Her passion for growing diverse teams in the advertising community is informed by her own lived experience as a minority member of the community, working to increase representation of people of color and people of difference in the advertising industry.

Renetta began her career at Leo Burnett, rising through the ranks to become a high-profile executive, which includes becoming the CEO of Starcom Worldwide. Prior to her current role, she served as the Chief Talent Officer for Leo Burnett USA as well as Publicis Communications North America.
