Almost overnight, an online video created with AI about a fictional pizza place called Pepperoni Hug Spot went viral. As the video gained millions of views, people started saying how much AI had ripped off Pizza Hut’s branding and marketing. So, days later, we brought together Pizza Hut and the AI video’s creator to rip off AI. We rebranded Pizza Hut as Pepperoni Hug Spot and made the fake AI pizza chain a real place. We launched the pop-up with ads, recipes and more, all pulled from the original AI video.
